Side-Hinged and Up-and-Over Garage Door Warranty

Warranty Claims

In the unlikely event of a warranty claim, please contact the dealer who installed your garage door and provide details of the serial number on the side or back of the door.

Your dealer will supply further details of the claim, along with proof of purchase, to the warranty department.

Warranty Period

A warranty covering the safe and reliable operation of the garage door is provided for a period of 10 years from the date of purchase to the original purchaser.
This warranty provides help and advice on the safety and reliability of the product and assists in identifying parts and consumables in the event of a failure.

Product Guarantee

A standard guarantee of 2 years is given to the holder of the product. This covers all parts and the panel, provided that the serial number is readable, intact, and in place.

Factory-applied paint finishes are covered for:

  • 2 years on steel doors with standard colours.

  • Special, non-standard colours are excluded.

The product has a 2-year warranty for the following items:

  • Springs

  • Tracks

  • Rollers

  • Hinges

  • Locking mechanisms

This applies to normal use, defined as no more than 5 operations (open/close) per day.

The product should be inspected and serviced annually by a competent garage door engineer.
The warranty for parts replaced by an engineer, or for supply-only parts, is 6 months or the remainder of the warranty period, whichever is shorter.

All cables are excluded from the standard warranty.

If warranty work is carried out, the product guarantee does not extend beyond the original installation or supply anniversary date.

Requirements

Warranties are valid in the UK only.
For European countries, contact your dealer.

Conditions:

  • The product must be purchased through an authorised partner.

  • A serial number and proof of purchase must be provided.

  • The warranty covers only the garage door itself.
    No surrounding items are covered.

During the warranty period, the manufacturer will rectify defects proven to be material or manufacturing faults.

At our discretion, we will:

  • Exchange the product

  • Repair the product

  • Reduce the price

We do not accept costs for:

Warranty Exclusions

Doors must be inspected on delivery and signed for only when you are satisfied with their condition.
Do not accept items you are not satisfied with.

You have 48 hours from receipt to report any issues.
By installing the garage door, the customer acknowledges and accepts its condition.
No claims for damage will be accepted after installation.

The warranty does not cover:

  • Improper transport, fitting, or adjustment

  • Repairs by non-qualified or non-competent individuals

  • External influences such as:

    • Fire

    • Water

    • Alkaline solutions

    • Acid

    • Bird droppings

    • Abnormal atmospheric pollution

  • Use of non-approved parts without manufacturer approval

  • Damage caused during normal use after delivery

Cable Warranty

All cables have a limited 2-year warranty for parts only.

Cables should be:

  • Checked regularly

  • Adjusted by a recognised installer

Failure to inspect, adjust, or replace damaged cables early may cause product failure and prevent garage access.

Paint Finish

Painted doors provide a high-quality finish compared to hand-painted doors. However, they may be scratched or chipped through everyday use.

Refer to the internal label for care and maintenance instructions.

  • The paint finish is cosmetic.

  • The front panel should appear uniform when viewed from 3 metres.

  • A 2-year warranty is offered against paint failure.

  • Minor blemishes are inevitable.

The rear of the door:

  • Will not have the same uniform finish

  • May have a different coating level due to the manufacturing process

  • This does not affect performance

All doors are supplied:

  • Galvanised and painted, or

  • Galvanised only
Both are suitable for external use.

Panel Distortion

The rolling or pressing of steel panels during manufacturing may cause slight distortion.
While every effort is made to minimise this, some distortion may remain.

The powder-coating process may make this distortion more visible, especially under certain lighting conditions.

Coastal Installations

Doors installed:

  • Within 250 metres of the coastline, or

  • Near inland estuaries

are excluded from the paint finish warranty.

In these areas, a GRP composite material is recommended.

Additional Information

This guarantee is valid only if the product has been:

  • Installed correctly

  • Maintained correctly

  • Used only for its intended purpose

Incorrect installation, maintenance, or servicing will invalidate the warranty.

The door must:
