Here at Birkdale, we pride ourselves on manufacturing our own range of products, from domestic garage doors to industrial security shutters.
In the beginning, Birkdale started out as a man in a van selling other companies products. After encountering various issues, we decided the only way to overcome this would be to manufacture our own products, and in 2001 we started doing just that. From this moment we were able to build our doors to our own standard and we can make sure the utmost quality goes into each one of our doors. This gives us the ultimate control of our product and enables us to ensure our customers receive a quality product.
Based in Scunthorpe, our factory facilities include a state-of-the-art in-house laminating machine providing a tailor-made finish, chosen from 120 available colours. Within our premises we have a show room area, thus enabling our products to be displayed accordingly.
At Birkdale we are manufacturing some of the top products in Europe due to the exceptional quality of materials used in alliance with innovative design.
We believe that great customer service is paramount. Everyone at Birkdale is product knowledge trained and focused on achieving high levels of customer satisfaction. Our national network of approved installers will happily carry out FREE on-site surveys, followed by professional installation, if required, anywhere in the United Kingdom.

Outstanding service from Roberto
Cannot praise Roberto at Birkdale Doors highly enough. Needed to get in garage after power outage to switch power back on – of course, this happened on a bank holiday evening. Rang number and received text message back within minutes, guided us through how to open door manually. Very patiently messaged back and forth with clear instructions and then advised further testing to ensure all ok. This prompt response has saved 3 freezers of food being wasted and being without electricity over the bank holiday. Such kindness, super swift service. Highly recommended.
New Garage Door
I wanted to replace the door on the garage with one that had windows and was well insulated, as we were going to turn it into a utility room.
I had a lot of quotes but the price and high quality of communication from Birkdale made it easily the best choice.
There were a few issues when first fitted but due to the professionalism of the company, who stated that they wanted me to have a door I could be proud of, the engineers came back and resolved the issues to a high standard.
I am extremely happy with the quality of the door, the service I was given and communication with Birkdale throughout the process.
Excellent customer service response
Contacted customer services via email with a query regarding my garage door which wasn’t closing properly (it is several years old). Had a reply within 10 mins followed by an electronic manual and video explaining how to adjust the sensitivity. Door now works perfectly and I’m a very happy person. Fantastic service something other companies could learn from. Thank you.

From start to finish Birkdale gave an efficient and professional service. The fitters were friendly and courteous and left my garage tidy and with a perfectly working door. I am delighted with the door after having one that I couldn’t open for years. I would definitely recommend Birkdale to anyone who wanted a new garage door installed.
The completed product was even better than I had envisioned. I was apprehensive about having a security roller shutter door because I felt it would ruin the look the shop front. Very happy to say I was worried over nothing as it actually compliments the shop front and was colour coded to blend in.
